Aragon

Here is a dahlia hybrid developed in St-Sauveur QC. By a good friend Bernard Séguin.

It is classified as: S BI PK/R  (Single-Bi-coloured, pink/red)

It is a small plant 2- 2.5 ft high. The stems are strong in relation to the flowers.  It is all round a wonderful example of a Simple Dahlia.

This year I have planted them around Mii Tai, a white Single, (before I knew its' name, I called it 'Mere de Aragon' - Mother of Aragon because Bernard said that it was one of the parents of Aragon) and Thomas McNaulty which is an orchid-type flower the bees can easily access.

The idea is the get seeds that will mix these cultivar features.
