Please note that my new Google Blog located at:
https://sites.google.com/view/dahliasottawa/
was deleted due to a Google "virus" or bug.
I received a notice to buy more space from Google,
and decided to manage the use of my storage space,
so I erased emails instead, trying to get rid of the notice
that was locking my account.
When this did not fix the problem, and my account was
still locked. I started to erase everything that was not
current from my Google Drive. That did not solve the
problem. I thought that maybe the Google "trash can" needed
to be emptied, and found a link to do this, but the file names
were not meaningful and I deleted them one at a time trying
to get rid of the lock on my gmail account.
By the time I deleted everything, my account remained locked!
Then I realized that my Dahlia web site was erased, as it was
built in "Google Sites" and was linked invisibly to my email account.
This Dahlia Blog (https://dahliasottawa.blogspot.com/) is apparently not linked to my
old gmail account in the same way, so it survived the "Google Virus."
I tried a number of times to contact Google about it, but without
any luck. The moral of the story is: One gets what they pay for in life.
